Gigablast ONT - moving to 10GBase-T

First, I love my gigablast connection. Cox really hit a home run with this service, the install guys were fantastic, they accommodated dropping the fiber in my network closet so my setup is perfect, and speeds are 930 up/down. The only thing I'd like to improve is my sometimes inconsistent speed, but I believe this might be the router performance and general bandwidth limitation of the 1Gbps interface (I have a large family with a decent amount of traffic).

Are there any recommendations for routers outside the Netgear R6300? I'm thinking the Ubiquity Edgerouter Lite that connects to the ONT, and to my network connecting with a 10GBase-T switch. Then use the R6300 as a wireless access point. The goal is to maximize WAN to LAN speeds.

Is there any option in gigablast to purchase an ONT that supports 10Gbps to the LAN with either with SFP or Cat6a? That would at least make sure the interface is not the limiting factor.

The netgear r8500 and r900 is both pretty good (I got the r8500) only buy the r9000 if you got a device with 802.11 ad (you probably don't, they are very rare)

Thanks for the router recommendations, I have heard that the higher end Netgears are pretty good I'll take a look. What I'd really like is a 10Gbps connection coming out of the ONT to my network. I know that 10gbps interfaces are fairly rare in consumer devices, but prices are coming down and I'm future proofing my home network (I strung fiber to a few rooms, and Cat6a to a few others).

AFAIK the only ONT Cox uses is the Alcatel-Lucent G-010G-A . I don't think they plan on using different ONT yet to simplify installs. Do you know of ANY FTTP/H ISP using 10Gbps? Seems like overkill to me.

PS. The Cox link for it seems to be dead.

Well, there are some ISP's providing 2Gbps+ services around the country, so I'm thinking they exist. You're right, it's probably overkill but if it's possible I'd like to implement it.
