frequent internet short interruptions

I have read many post re: frequent internet drops. It appears to me that there is no answer that someone with my tech knowledge could handle. My internet has dropped frequently since installation, 2 wks. ago. Techs (contracted) are very nice, seem concerned, but do not fix problems. I had been in contact with a Cox Field Tech Specialist and he seems to have lost interest (is ignoring me). Is there such a person as someone in the private sector that I could employ to manage/troubleshoot/communicate with Cox? Any suggestions as to what I should do?

    Do you still experience problems with the Internet without the router attached? It might also be helpful to visit http://192.168.100.1 and post the signal status info listed there so we may look for possible issues there.
