frequent internet short interruptions

I have read many post re: frequent internet drops. It appears to me that there is no answer that someone with my tech knowledge could handle. My internet has dropped frequently since installation, 2 wks. ago. Techs (contracted) are very nice, seem concerned, but do not fix problems. I had been in contact with a Cox Field Tech Specialist and he seems to have lost interest (is ignoring me). Is there such a person as someone in the private sector that I could employ to manage/troubleshoot/communicate with Cox? Any suggestions as to what I should do?

    Do you still experience problems with the Internet without the router attached? It might also be helpful to visit and post the signal status info listed there so we may look for possible issues there.
