What is the difference between enable and disable "auto favorites" ?
The Auto-Favorites feature should not impact your ability to "scroll" through your list of favorite channels. I tested the feature on a Rovi DVR in the Call Center. I disabled Auto-Favorites and manually added a bunch of channels to the Favorites list. I'm then able to scroll through all 16 Favorite channels by repeatedly pressing the FAV button on the remote. After this test was successful, I went back into the Settings and enabled Auto-Favorites. I'm still able to use the FAV button to scroll through my list of favorite channels.
We previously stated that disabling Auto-Favorites would also disable the FAV button on the remote. This is incorrect, and I apologize! I believe the Auto-Favorites feature is "enabled" by default. Please try the following steps:
- Disable Auto-Favorites.
- Add a few more channels to your Favorites list.
- Exit out of the Menu.
- Change the TV to the lowest channel number on your Favorites list. (Example: channel 2.)
- Repeatedly press the FAV button on the remote.
Are you able to cycle through your entire list of Favorite channels?
