Excessive spam emails daily---how to eliminate this happening?

I've been diligent for the past month marking nuisance emails as spam but they still keep coming in an all day long barrage.  I see a malwarebytes-anti malware icon at the bottom of my screen.  I am not aware of ordering it and wonder if that was provided by Cox?  Please comment regarding these two matters.  Thank

    Hello,

    Are the emails showing up in your spam folder or are they coming directly to your inbox?

    Also, we do not distribute malwarebytes. We do have a free copy of Mcafee that all of our internet customers can download from our website at www.cox.net.
