I don't think it's just Fritzp1 mine has been doing that since sometime yesterday evening, using Outlook 2016. Everytime it's trying to login to pop email it's prompting for credentials and it says "your server rejected your login". I can login to webmail fine and retyped my password in so I know it's right, definitely something amiss here.
*edit - just saw the "Outlook 2016 continually prompts for username and password..." thread so ya definitely something on Cox's end it seems.

Hi DarkOneX2,
Does your Webmail password have any special characters in it, such as a percent sign (%) or a pound sign (#)?
I have been having the same problem since my email was moved to the new Cox mail servers. My email eventually does load, but it is constantly asking to re-verify my credentials.
Yes, I have a special character in my password, the @ sign, are special characters a problem? They never were before, I've been using the @ sign for years without a problem. The hyphen (‐) sign has never worked in a Cox password though.

Hi Bryan,
You're correct: passwords containing special characters were not a problem in the past. However, we recently noticed that the customers reporting an email client repeatedly asking for login credentials all had a percent sign (%) in their password.
As a test, reset your password to something that does not contain any special characters and see if your email loads without errors or requests for credentials.
Removing all special characters (the @ sign in my case) did NOT help, I'm still getting prompts to re-enter credentials, then the emails do download. Happens most every time. Both my Android Mail App and MS Outlook have the same issue, It just started a few days ago, after I first saw that the new Cox Webmail website.
We are getting messages on all our devices about all our emails having incorrect passwords. What is going on?

Hi Bryan,
What email client do you have? Are you using POP or IMAP settings?
I am using POP (I do not like IMAP)
It appears to be working now without any special characters, fingers crossed it stays that way.
My Android Mail App is HTC Mail 10.00.814476 (Android 6.0+) APK
and ASUS Email App version 3.0.0.39_160613
The Windows Mail clients are Windows Live Mail 2009 Version 14.0.8117.0416 (Yes it is old for Windows 10, but I like this client the best.)
