email sent items

There are three different "sent" tabs, sent mail, sent items, and sent messages. My sent mail is always empty, my sent items likewise, and the sent messages has a few random emails but there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to what ends up in this folder. The vast majority of my emails never appear in any of these folders. Is there a setting somewhere to fix this? I have no way to check to see if a message has been sent.

Different clients use different folders - go to settings -> preferences and indicate you want webmail to save a copy of sent emails by default.

I have the same problem with my Cox webmail - I have two different spam folders, sent folders and a bunch of other junk due to using so many different email clients over the years.
