Email not connecting

I'm using the e-mail program on my LG VK815 and every time I try to log into my cox account it tells me the login info is incorrect. I reset the password yesterday, deleted the account from the mail program and tried setting it up fresh and keep getting the same message. Any thoughts?

Same for me.  I am able to get to WebMail, but cannot connect using Windows Live Mail with IMAP protocol.  All Cox is doing is telling people to reset their password.  Well, it's not working!!

Ha!  It just now mysteriously started working!!  I hope yours is working as well.

  • Are you able to login to Cox Web Mail on the Cox Web site using the new password?

I'm able to access it through the Cox website, but not my phone or my tablet. This just started happening a few days ago. Keeps saying my username and password information is incorrect.

  • It would not accept mine when trying to log in from an iPad but it worked when I used my mac computer.

  • It sounds like the phone, tablet, and iPad have a saved/stored password that is no longer valid. When you reset your password on the Cox website, you must also change the saved password on your device.

To verify that you are using the correct username and password, go to webmail.cox.net and log in. If your password is saved by your browser and you think you know what it is, delete the saved password (dots) and type in the password. Once you are logged in successfully, open email on your phone, tablet, or iPad. If you get a pop-up window asking for your username and password, delete the saved password (shown as dots) and type in the password that you used to login to Webmail.

If your Cox Webmail password is saved by your browser and you don't know what it is, go to webmail.cox.net and click on the "Forgot Password" link underneath the login box. Follow the steps to reset your password. Once you can log in to Cox Webmail successfully, you can save your new password on your phone, tablet, or iPad.
