Email, actually, NO email

For about 2 weeks now I am not getting email, people are still sending it to me, it just isnt getting to my mail box. It just stopped one day. Senders are NOT being notified that it isnt delivered. Where is it going?? Its the same address for many years. Are you at cox re routing it?? I tried o/l 'chat' but got nowhere with that, still no mail. I'm at a loss here, no online help options fit this issue.

What to do?????

(Sez - "Box checked Email me replies to this post   "!!!   I'm not getting my email, how you gonna email me replies?????

  • I never receive emails notifying me of replies to my posts here. I always have to come back and check often to see if anyone has replied. But I have always used Gmail instead of the Cox email.

  • I am having the same issue - and have seen other posts/threads from other people having this issue. There is a SIGNIFICANT delay in delivery of emails to the inbox. Last week, I sent 7 test emails from my work account to my person cox account - 3 showed up right away, 3 were delayed by 5+ hours, one arrived 12 hours later. IT staff at work indicated email sent from work account was marked 'delivered' within seconds - but emails did NOTY appear in inbox for hours! Someone sent me email Saturday at 6:30 pm. I took a screen shot of my inbox at 10pm - still no delivery. Looked again next morning, it had arrived. and was time stamped 6:30pm but it was NOT in my inbox at that time. I heard that many users have been migrated to new email system - but there is CLEARLY something wrong. So far, cox has not responded.

If I'm not getting mail, I cant send you 'header/time stamp/etc.'

    I'm NOT GETTING my mail, , , , , thats the problem.

I spent ½ an hour (or more) on the phone with a cox tech yesterday, Was fixed, well supposed to be fixed, , ,

Did not get expected mail this morn.

  • OK - checked email headers from delayed-delivery emails and from emails that are delivered immediately. For delayed-delivery emails, the receiving server at cox is always fed1rmimpi111.cox.net Emails received by eastrmimpi312.cox.net are delivered to email account right away

    aaa,

Please check your mail settings and ensure that the emails are not being forwarded in the forwarding settings, that there are no message filters blocking your emails from arriving, and that the spam settings is not set to delete the emails. Please let us know the results.
  • All client email settings checked long ago - no blocking, no filtering, no spam enabled, no forwarding - all noted in the 2 other threads regarding this issue. THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH COX EMAIL. As noted on other threads, email headers from delayed emails indicate delayed emails are always initially delivered to servers fed1rmimp###.com. Emails that are delivered without delay are always initially delivered to servers eastrmimpi###.com. THIS INFORMATION NEEDS TO BE PASSED TO TECHNICAL SUPPORT AT COX - please. We need someone at Cox to own this issue. As users, we are unable to communicate with Cox technical support. Please be our advocate on this.

The original poster's issue is not the same as your issue. He is not receiving emails at all. I apologize if it wasn't specified to check the settings in webmail and not the email client.

    aaa,

Please log into webmail and check the settings there and let us know the results.
