e-mail service

About 4 months ago, I began receiving duplicates on on my incoming mail.  My son, from California, spent an entire day trying to correct this problem, but couldn't.  In his attempts he linked me to another e-mail server and I began receiving e-mail on that site, and Cox shut my previous site down.  Now I get duplicate e-mails sent to my Cox address, but the only place I can open them is on an e-mail reception site linked to internet express.  How can I get off of that, restore my Cox reception, and stop the duplicate messages.  HELP!

    Do you only use the email on 3rd party email clients or are you having these issues with emails on the cox.com site also? On the email clients, have you tried removing the account and re adding it?
