e-mail problem

have received mail notices from COX and my Power company that ebilling cannot reach my e-mail.  Found in my profile the primary email address is followed by "verification pending".  I have not found anywhere that I can access this verification process.  Cox level 1 and level 2 phone support have not been able to fix this problem.  I do not know how much other email is not getting to me.
