DVR says not enough space but 89% free.

I choose a program to record. I will check the guide and it shows it as being recorded. When you go to recorded programs it is not there. It is under Missed Recordings. The reason stated is, There is not enough room. The bar at the top of the screen says there is 89% free.

I tried unplugging from the power source and resetting the box. It did nothing. Any suggestions?
