Do I have a contract for TV?

I've had Cox cable tv Contour for about 10 months and its been unreliable.  Cox has to update it daily and it freezes up between 3 and 4 am each day.  Shortly after it was installed I had a technician come out and replace a box but it didn't fix it.  I don't think it can be fixed and the problem seems to be inherent in Cox and probably intended since deployment of Contour.  I think I am going to change service back to satellite and as far as I know I don't have a contract since I did not receive any discounts when I subscribed last year.  If this is not correct, please let me know asap.  Thanks,

    you would need to check your bills or call cox this is more of a customer helping customer forum if you need account related issues you need to call

    Most Cox services are not "contract".  You can cancel at any time. I asked about that when i called about ordering Premium Channels (HBO).
