Deleted items disappearing in Windows Live Mail

My 'deleted items' message started disappearing this week in my WLM program for COX mail accounts after a few days.  The items for my hotmail account remain.  Has there been a policy change at COX regarding retension of deleted messages?

    I received and email from Cox in early June stating: "Effective immediately all content in the trash, deleted and/or any other folder designated for deleted messages may now be deleted at any time and without additional notice."  See discussion here.

    Do you have your Cox email account setup as POP or as an IMAP email account?
