Delay in recording

I recently had to replace my old DVR with Contour. I'll refrain from listing the various things I don't like to concentrate on one minor irritation. 

When I record a program it doesn't begin recording until about a minute into the program. It also, therefore, ends about a minute late. It happens on all the channels I've recorded from so far. 

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

    Are you having this issue on series or one time recordings? You can change the start in stop time in your recording options to extent the recording.

    Seems like the device should record on time without me having to jury-rig it with a work-around. My earlier DVR did without any problem.

    The timing of the DVR and the show will depend on how synced the network's timing is to our timing. It sounds like the timing is off and there is no other way to get them to match. If we change our time, it will change the timing for all the other networks. If they change their timing, it could change how they sync with other providers. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
