Cox suvey by IP address legit ?

I received a Cox Survey via my ip address this morning.   Is this legitimate or a possible virus/infection ?  Thanks -

    Do you mean email by chance?  We do send out random survey requests if you've recently had an interaction with our support.

    No - it was a message that appeared in Chrome.  I have a screenshot if there's a safe way to send it.
