Columbo show is on now and its full screen.

Star Trek was not full screen. It comes on after full screen Wonder Woman.
- Karen_RFormer ModeratorHello Elpbss,
Some of the content that the network broadcast may not be in High Definition and will put black sidebars on each side of the screen. When this happens can you check another TV to see if that B/W show is full screen? The same with Fox News channel do you see lines on other Tvs on that channel? Thanks - elpbssNew Contributor
None of the shows are in HD this is a 480I sub channel which when taken from CBS to ABC this trouble started!

Why did CBS NEVER have this problem???
- elpbssNew Contributor
Using the zoom button on the Mini Box fixes the problem. But my question still is why is ABC doing it different than CBS did? Both sub channels with low bandwidth 480I SD.

Another case in point: Antenna TV is a NBC 480I sub channel that shows old TV shows and it does not have this problem that ABC has created when it took over from CBS.
- Karen_RFormer ModeratorHello Elpbss,
I'm glad that the zoom fixed the issue. The screen will adjust if viewing on 480I vs High Definition. Thanks - elpbssNew Contributor
Zoom fixed the issue on the Mini Box only NOT the Contour Box! Back to my MAIN question: what is ABC doing differently than CBS was doing because this never was a problem before with CBS.
- BeckyModeratorHi Elpbss,
It's quite possibly an equipment issue on ABC's side. When ABC initially took over the MeTV feed, they didn't have the correct equipment in place. It took several days for the station to restore the MeTV feed for Cox Contour customers. You may want to direct your question to the broadcast station.
