COX HIGHEST SPEED INTERNET

HELLO FORUMETTES AND OTHERS:

I recently had cable phone internet installed, and its great.  I have a problem, my Preferred internet was sold to me at the agreed rate of 150 MBPS.  The truth is, I have yet to see 15 let alone 150!   The harsh reality is I think i will have to cancel after the trial period expires.

My question:  to whom can I send a written complaint ?  at Cox, I have the number for the CPUC.   I have been running in circles (not really)  but the Cox people are evasive, but not rude, Aloof, but not really.  They say they cannot give ne that number biut i can " request the information by mail"   Fortunate for these Representatives, I  have been busy, otherwise I would have  done what I do very well.  I love to feed on those who dont want to give me  information. Train all you want, Cox Reps, you will give me what I pay for,or you will wish you had not been born all those decades ago.    Blood in the water can you smell it?

All kidding aside, I soent three hours with a Law firm that specializes in class action and large group law suits, they have sent me an email this morning that states they believe Cox, which is  essentially a cable monopoly in South Orange County, has serious exposiure to  a class action  and the Cities of Laguna Niguel, Dana Point and North to Laguna Beach  that receive a FRANCHISE FEE for the protection they offer the Cable and Trash monopolies,  are both clearly  liable for their disregard and lack of service.  Some changes have been ordered, but  be compelled.  but money is both a cause of harm and the relief.   Class actions seem to be a proper course of action, we'll see!

BACK TO MY POINT:   CAN YOU PROVIDE AN ADDRESS TO SEND  RETURN RECEPT SNAIL MAIL. ANYONE?

Please provide an address, if you have one.

Several problems here. First, Preferred is up to 50 Mbps. Premier is up to 150 Mbps in some markets, 100 Mbps in others. Mbps is not to be confused with MBps, however. And there is no MBPS.

Secondly, an address for a written complaint is asked for, but the word "number" pops up in a couple places, (to whom can I send a written complaint ?  at Cox, I have the number for the CPUC and they say they cannot give ne that number biut (sic) i (sic) can "request the information by mail"), suggesting phone numbers.

Lastly, you must be joking. How much time has been spent on this? Just Google "cox headquarters atlanta". And good luck with your class action, Alice*.

*as you go down that rabbit hole and rack up billable hours.

Have you made a good faith effort to let Cox fix the problem?  Or are you trying to threaten legal action without actually trying to solve the problem?  Have you informed Cox other than complaining here and jumping on some-sort of bandwagon trumped up legal mumbo jumbo?

First off are you on preferred or premier?

    Preferred: 50d/5u

    Premier 150d/10u

Which modem are you using?  Which router are you using?

What speeds are you getting using any of the following sites:

    1. http://www.fast.com
    2. http://speed.googlefiber.net
    3. http://speedtest.net
    4. http://myaccount.cox.net/internettools/speedcheck/speedcheck.cox

Have you done any troubleshooting at all or are you just complaining?
