Cox Gigablast Not Available in a New Build Community Where Competitor Gig is?

Hey there, I was wondering why it seems like Cox's Gig Service isn't available in Arizona, down in the new Eastmark Masterplan Community (85212) when it seems that CenturyLink is offering their gig service at the same time.

Fiber is fiber so is there a reason why Cox hasn't jumped onboard?  From what I can tell it seems that despite advertising Gig service all over the Phoenix Metro, Cox isn't really selling it anywhere.

Going to be moving down there soon and inquiring minds want to know.

Cox is struggling with signal issues in that area, I live in one of the neighborhoods built before Eastmark, but literally across the street from them. I have been trying to get them to fix my internet. The first tech that came out said our area was notorious for signal issues, and that they only have one fiber node serving the area, it is up on Ellsworth and Ray. Hopefully with all the new houses being built out here they upgrade their infrastructure to support it.

I would love to have gigabit through cox(hopefully someday), centurylink has knocked on my door a few times asking us to switch to prism/gigabit.

Depressing to think that I might have to jump over to CenturyLink, I mean their Gigservice is the same price as Cox Ultimate. :P

I've been with Cox since moving to AZ too. :P

You'd think with the raw amount of houses being put into Eastmark (5 freaking square miles) it'd be high on their radar to get their stuff together before they end up losing all those customers to a competitor.  We all know it's easier to not switch companies once you're setup so they are playing a dangerous game. :P

This is the first time I have had an issue with them, and it looks like they see the problem are going to fix it. Other than this one snag the service has been perfect since the install. They bumped our neighborhoods up to 300/30 last September or October I believe.
