Converter box

Can I get my own converter boxes?  I am trying to keep bill down to a reasonable amount. I would like to record now and then. If it weren't for my wife, I would probably turn in the boxes and try some other way to get the programming I want.

    you can can get TiVo, but then you need a cable card and TiVo service.
