Hello Pgstier and GPW,
Could you disconnect the power from your cable modem and router for a couple of minutes. Then, reconnect the modem power first and wait for the modem to reboot. Next, reconnect the power to your wireless router. Please try the Contour app again. Let us know if you continue to receive the out of home error message.
