contour on demand

my on demand only works about half the time. Ive had Cox now for about 2 months and it seems like every other time I get "unable to play video. Sorry we are having some trouble, this program is not available to watch at the moment, please try again in a few minutes." For the amount of money I pay a month for these premium channels I am about over the unreliability of this service. Whats the deal?

    On what titles are you getting this message? Is the cable straight from the wall to the receiver or is there a splitter?
