Contour not functioning properly as it did last year

The Contour TV is not functioning like is did before last summer and on. The channel 1 hour replay function is not working correctly. It should be able to keep 6 channels for replay but the function is random now. It 'forgets' the channel. The channel gets moved to channel 1998 if the dvr box decides that you are not viewing it which then loses the 1 hour replay memory and you can't replay it when you were deliberately planning to view it late so that you can skip the commercials or etc. Same if it is left on that channel when you turn-off the TV for the night or whatever. It used to be that you could save this function for 6 channels but now it's random. Also, when you tune to a channel the function is not most always functioning. Please restore the function to its proper behavior!

    gymanime, We'd be happy to help. Are you experiencing this on all boxes in your home? Please ensure all connections between your box and wall are tight and power cycle all equipment. Thank you.

    Yes, and it is still continuing. It shouldn't be so random! Once I set a channel for the replay function to work, up to 6 stations on the tv guide  since this is a 6 tuner  "contour" dvr, it should stay that way until I set it to another channel. I don't view all that many channels and I often left it on one of the channel that I view which I assume everyone else does as well, so I want it to function like it did before something happened to the contour firmware or programming as it was last summer 2016 when it functioned as it did as I liked it.

    The problem I am referring to is: To Rewind Live TV: 1.Rewind button 2.The DVR creates a buffer of a channel you are watching as long as you remain tuned into that channel. You can rewind up to 90 minutes of standard-definition programming or rewind up to 30 minutes of high-definition programming. The buffer begins when you start watching a channel. I am having problem with this function. The buffer gets regularly blanked out so that you can't use the "Rewind" replay function. And it should be able to save as many as 6 channels when using contour 6 tuner dvrs.

    The ability to replay is dependent on the being tuned to the channel you want to replay. If the channel changes, even to channel 1998 the buffer will reset. If you are wanting to watch a program later I suggest using your record function to ensure the ability to view later.
