For those who have multiple DVR receivers networked together, this Sync DVR pushes a sync before an automatic update is received. It would be used to allow the DVR receiver to communicate with another DVR receiver to playback saved recordings. A Cox technician would use Sync DVR to sync a new DVR to the priority manager.

Ok thanks I kind of understand that. I had to change the time of the updates because the machine made a lot of noise when i was sleeping.

Also I picked in options 1080P for my tv, does the channels come through in 1080P now my other contour 1 box was 1080I. Also on the main box what is best for the power setting, should I turn it off when not using it or use the power saver, which is best?

The main cable box should not be turned off since it is directly linked to the other boxes in the home. If you do not have any other boxes, then you can. I suggest using the power saver feature instead.
Thanks,

- thecat18New Contributor IIIok thanks but what my question about 1080p & 1080I, is cox sending 1080P quality now?

thecat18,
We are sending out a 1080p quaility picture at 60Hz. You can set the Contour 2 box to the 1080p instead of the 1080i.
