Experiencing the same problem, I've asked this question.
The answer I received was that Cox has no control over what the networks send them in the form of a schedule. If what they (the networks) send to Cox doesn't indicate the show as a repeat or re-run it is scheduled as if it was new and will get picked up to record as such.
Seems plausible, however, I'm skeptical.

Yeah I guess that makes sense to a point. The odd thing is that with my old Contour One box I never had the problem. Thanks for the reply.

Crazy. Last night I had to delete 24 scheduled recordings of The Goldbergs from two different networks. I just don't get it.

Each broadcaster sends us their program information 2 weeks in advance. The also add to each program NEW, REPEAT and sometimes the program isn't labelled with either description.

Great. So it sounds like you have identified the problem with Scheduled Recordings. What's the plan to fix it?
Right now I have 40 scheduled programs that I had to individually stop recording. Every couple days I look at Scheduled Recordings and cancel all the repeats in the queue.
Thank you!

We can request an update from the network when mistakes are noticed. We are not able to guarantee that we will get the update before the program airs. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

I have the same problem and wonder why the Contour 6 did not record repeats when first run is selected. Wouldn't the networks have reported in the same manner? This is a major time waster on having to delete all unwanted repeats in the schedule. Also, can we set the schedule to not show deleted programs? This is another space waster.
- Karen_RFormer ModeratorRHM17, if any changes are made to the feature you will receive an update under News and Views on the statement. Thank you for the feedback.
