Contour 2 - When is the firmware going to be updated?

I was having a problem with the contour 1 box and it was replaced by the contour 2.  The issue is the firmware for the contour 2 is very very poor. Features such as blocking channels  you don't want to see is no longer an option. A big one is that the contour 1 would allow you to switch between channels and without hitting the record feature it would allow you to rewind a channel you were previously viewing. The contour 2 only allows rewind if  you don't change the channel. Channel changing takes 4x as long on a contour 2. The SAP feature says it s off but when the box is turned on after being shut off t says it is off but you get the narration, you must go in and turn the SAP on and off to stop it. overall  a very slow and disappointing unit. When you "upgrade" all the features from the previous model should be the first items coded and then new features added. 

So when can we expect an upgrade that will allow channel blocking (should be automatic to what you pay for and then modifiable to eliminate channels you must pay for but are not interesting in viewing) and auto recording across channels? Having to view channels I don't pay for and can't receive does NOT make me want to purchase those channels it does make me notice the poor policy of trying for more revenue at the expense of the customer's experience.
