Contour 2 - no input

I got the Contour 2 boxes about a month ago. About two or three times a week, one or more of my TVs gives me the message no input with a blank screen. I reset the box or boxes and everything's OK. Why does this keep happening so frequently?

how old is the cable that connects the box to the tv sounds like a bad cable or bad port on tv or cable box

How do you have the box connected to the TV? If HDMI, the next time it happens, try simply turning the TV off then back on. If that doesn't work, try unplugging the HDMI(from back of box) and then reconnecting it. If either of these work, it could be a setting issue in the box or TV. Some things I have seen cause the problem is when the aspect ratio (16:9 vs 4:3) changes with a commercial, or the sound changes from PCM to Dolby.

Thanks for the response Andrew. All cables are brand new.

Thanks for the recommendation. It has happened on all 3 TVs just since contour 2 was installed. I'll try this when it happens again but it seems like some issue on Cox's end.

Now the box just did something new. I put on a recording and it started and then the video froze but the sound kept going.  When I fast forwarded the video did not change but the sound fast forwarded. When I stopped the video to go back to live TV it was stuck on that frozen video from the recording. Resetting the box fixed the problem but there seems to be some issues with the Contour 2 boxes. This is on a different TV than the one I had to reset yesterday because of no input.

    ReginaA,

I will need to review the account and the signals to the receiver. Please email me the account details and a link to this post to further investigate.

Hi Stephanie, how do I email you I don't see your email address anywhere. Thank you for your help! I had the no input signal again last night on one of the TVs and I had to unplug the Cox box and replug it in to get it to reset.
