Constantly Losing Connection

For the past month or so we have been continuously losing our internet connection for whatever reason. We cannot stream nor play online games without getting booted off. (Both with wired and wireless connections.)  We have restarted the modem many times and that does not seem to help. We have had the modem for about two years now and are beginning to wonder if it might need to be replaced.

Model:DN4500B

  • I suggest check all the connections to make sure they are all tightly connected. Are there any splitters on the cable line? Also, check the power supply. Are you on a surge protector or UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)?

    There are no splitters and it is plugged in to a surge protector.
