Constant "DNS Server Probe Finished NO INTERNET"

For the last month or so, We constantly get dropped from service. Sometimes it'll happen multiple times in a row. Either kicked off of a site, or interrupted streaming from Netflix or kicked out of game sessions or downloads being interrupted.

I have reset the modem and am going to get my router and devices onto another DNS server if necessary, but I'd like to see if there is anything wrong on the company's end.  As I type this message, the connection has dropped AGAIN. This is truly the most agitating time I've had with the internet since the dial-up days. Please help

    A good place to start might be visiting http://192.168.100.1 and posting the signal levels status info so we may take a look. Maybe there's something there that would explain what is going on.

    One immediate problem that stands out is the modem itself is not compatible with your subscribed speeds. The DCC events in the log most likely coincide with the drops you're experiencing in service. The modem is looking for more capacity and is changing channels to find it. Being that it is not a DOCSIS 3.0 modem it has to reboot every time this happens.

    Our modem is the DGI510N that was supplied by Cox. Is it possible we were due for an upgrade? Seems messed up that we pay for high speed and not get it. Even with large downloads (+10Gb) it never used to kick off like that. Now anything upwards of 500Mb is likely to kick off. Even just surfing the web leads to connection failure.

    That's a DOCSIS 2 modem about 10 years old. It only has a single channel up & down. Current DOCSIS 3 modems have 8 to 32 channels down & 4 to 8 up. You are definitely due for an upgrade, see here for approved modems by service level. Some are modems only, some are gateways, including a WiFi router built in.
