Concerning Cox Webmail Server

Is there a problem with the webmail server? I've noticed that for the last week it takes a very long time to get into my email. I can log in just fine but that particular page takes a number of minutes to finally go through on any PC or Tablet I use.

    There are no reported issues with specific pages for Webmail. What is the url for the page you are seeing the problem with?

    I am clicking the "Webmail" icon from the http://myconnection.cox.com/ page. It spends several minutes "Connecting..." and occasionally will not go through at all. This just started happening a couple days ago.

    At the bottom of my screen it says "Waiting for webmail.cox.net" while it is attempting to load the page. This is the only page I have problems with. I have already attempted clearing my cache, cookies, and offline data. Other browsers make no difference either.

    The My connection page would be account settings alone not tied to Webmail. When attempt to sign in with the account does it show if you are accessing the email through Classic or Enhanced?

    It does not say specifically but I believe I am using Classic.

    I'd try typing in www.cox.com in a new browser.  In the upper right corner next to "Contact Us, you want to be sure the location shows your market there.  If it doesn't,  you want to change it to your zip code and click "Check This Area."  Then sign in.  I tried that and I was able to log in just fine.  Let us know what happens. 

  • I believe that the web mail is down at least for some.  I haven't been able to log in for couple hours.

    I'm able to log in and access my WebMail today. Are you getting an error message?

  • It just hangs- no error message....

    Edit-- I FINALLY got through after an excessive wait... was able to navigate folder to folder normally.  Will attempt to log in and see how it behaves...

    Edit #2- the problem appears to be gone... the log in page came up successfully.

    I tried going through cox.com as suggested and ensured the market was set to my zip code. This made no difference. As I said before as well, using different browsers and even different PCs has made no difference.

    Earlier today it loaded up pretty quickly and I got in just fine, but as I type this I find it taking several minutes just to access webmail.cox.net again.

    The later on in the evening it gets (12:25 AM here currently) the longer it seems to take.
