Cisco DPQ 3925 needs rebooting frequently

We have the Cox supplied modem that is around 2 1/2 years old and the frequency of rebooting to regain internet/phone access is increasing significantly.  We have spoken with Cox support who indicates the signal is good to the house/area.  Problems with the device?  Suggestion for a newer model etc.? 

Appreciate feedback.

    I'd normally recommend separate modem and router - but if you need a modem that does wifi and phone service I've heard good things about the new Arris eMTA Gateway - I think Cox has it listed as the TG2472 (Premium WiFi Modem, Dual Band WiFi).
