Can't get email

For the past few days when either my wife or myself try's to get email we get the followig message "Cannot get mail, your name or password is incorrect " I have double check the user names and passwords and I'm reasonably sure they are correct. I called Cox tech support and got a vague answer about wide spread issues Cox is having and there was really no telling how long it would be until I got my email service restored. I have doubts as to what my problem is, if it's even related to the problems Cox is having.

    We're currently experiencing an outage that may affect the customer,s ability to send/receive, download through a mail client, or log into Webmail. We're working as quickly as possible to resolve. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience.
