Cannot send email (Outlook w/iPad and iPhone)

I recently changed my password (I used a desktop computer to do this) for my two cox.net email addresses. As soon as I did that, I can still receive emails, but no longer can send emails on my iPad or iPhone (I can on my MacPro laptop/Outlook, though). My server settings on my two devices (for over two years now with these two devices) have always been: Incoming: imap.cox.net and Outgoing: smtp.cox.net 587/SSL enabled. I have updated the passwords in "settings" on my laptop and both devices; I have deleted my email accounts on my devices only and re-added them; I have tried changing the outgoing server ports to 465; I have created new outgoing smtp servers, and ensuring everything I do is exactly the same on both my laptop and devices...absolutely nothing has worked. For example: One of my two email addresses is kbrisson@cox.net. If I attempt to send an email from this account, the error message I keep getting is "kbrisson@smtp.cox.net is incorrect." (same for my other email account.) I have never seen this error message before. I've had my two Cox addresses for about 10 years. I've had these two devices set up to send/receive email with the same settings for over two years with zero issues, until I simply changed my password. Currently on my devices, the Incoming mail server is: Host Name: imap.cox.net, my User name (only user name, not cox.net), and current password. (Primary) Outgoing Mail server is: Host name: smtp.cox.net, My user name (only user name, from my primary account) and current password. SSL is enabled, password authentication is on, and server port is 587.

What is "kbrisson@smtp.cox.net"? Looks like you have your username wrong somewhere in outbound settings. Could you show a screenshot?

That all looks good. I meant a screenshot of the error. If the error is saying ""kbrisson@smtp.cox.net is incorrect." then the question is what is it trying to use "kbrisson@smtp.cox.net" for. Could be using the @ sign to refer to the SMTP settings for kbrisson, but it could also be a setting stuck somewhere that is incorrect.

Also, try using your whole email address for your username. As per Cox Business Apple instructions. It would make sense that the username should be the username, but I think Apple does some things different.

Last, do you have your Cox settings configured to sync with your Icloud setting? If so, try disabling that. Might explain why only effecting iOS devices.

Also, changing my username to my whole email address gave me the same error message when I tried to send an email.

Hmm. Im getting stumped. Try creating a new username and see if that works on it.

Also, can you try using a email app like Spark?
