Cancellation of Cox services

If I cancel my Cox services, i.e. internet, tv and phone, will I be able to retain the phone # assigned to me? Thanks.

    Yes, you can keep your phone number.  The Federal Communications Commission gives you that right.  Here is their FAQ page with the answer:

    https://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/porting-keeping-your-phone-number-when-you-change-providers

    Note that they say you must stay in the same geographic area.  They do not explain how far away that is.
