Can you still mass-delete recorded shows on the Contour (black Cissco) box?

On the old "silver" box in the DVR you could hit "info" when on the grouped-folder of a show & there was an option to delete all of the recordings of that show. At least via that method, you cannot do this on the new box. Is there some other way to mass delete shows?

If there's not...wow. That seems like a big flaw (/since it's not a complicated thing (seeing as the old one could do it)). While the new "operating system" has fixed a lot of problems I had with the old one (like searching the OD menu), it also seems to have reversed everything that was working well (possibly this, not being able to add time to an in-progress recording (which I just found out last night), not being able to alphabetically sort the DVR list).

First off, instead of "old box" and "new box", why not give the model number. Cox has many "old" and "new" DVRs, as well as both PASSPORT ECHO and CONTOUR firmware.

Now, with Contour, instructions for deleting all recordings in a series folder is given on Page 60 of the manual.

I don't have access to the serial of the contour box right now (I just know that it's a Cisco contour), & obviously don't have the old one (silver/grey, Scientific Atlanta was the manufacturer) --- I'm in San Diego ("south"), fwiw (those are the only 2 boxes they use down here).

Sorry if I wasn't more specific. I am not referring to things that were automatically recorded via a series- recording. The episodes in question are manually recorded. In the SA box you could just hit INFO while highlighting a folder (in the main DVR list) and it would give you the option of enacting something (delete, keep-longer, etc) on all of the shows in the folder. I ask because the volume in my case (recording by someone else in the house >_>) is near-or-over 100 episodes for a handful of shows. If there's not a way to mass-delete them (like before) it'll be.....fun.

This is one of those things where, there's only so many options in the guide/DVR (doesn't take long to try different things) so my gut says I'm correct in assuming there's no way, but I'd like "official" confirmation there's not a way before I try delete them all by 1-by-1.

I don't need the serial number. I only asked for the model number. In San Diego, Cox used/uses SA8240HDC (silver), SA8300 (silver), Cisco 8642HDC (black) and Cisco 9865HDC (black). They might have also added the Cisco 8742HDC (black) or Cisco 8752HDC (black - doubtful.) The 8642HDC, 8742HDC, 8752HDC, and 9865HDC all use Contour.

I'm afraid you may be correct in believing Contour has no mass deletion capability if they aren't series recordings.

Confirmed at least on my 9865HDC Contour Record-6 DVR, it is not possible to mass delete shows that were recorded without being part of a series recording. Pretty horrible.

I had No problem understanding that you were comparing the other (basic-legacy) Cox DVR interactive guide environment (PassportEchoRovi) to the latest Contour software. No need for model numbers to delay answering the question.

But now he knows that his statement, "...I'm in San Diego ("south"), fwiw (those are the only 2 boxes they use down here)" was not correct.
