Can The Contour Be Set to Change Channels Automatically?

Previous versions of the Cox set top boxes could be programmed to change channels at set times.

I have a non-DVR Contour connected to a DVD recorder.

While I realize that it's not possible to watch one channel while recording another, what I want to do is to be able to record one program unattended, then automatically change channels to record a different channel.

This used to be possible.  Is it now?

    Hi Deanimator,

    The timer feature that you are looking for is not available on the Contour 1 or 2 platforms.

    That's quite a step backward.

    I prefer to record directly to DVD, since I rarely record anything I don't intend to keep.  That makes the additional expense of a DVR dubious at best.
