Caller ID on TV

Is Caller ID on TV discontinued with Rovi?  The last time it displayed on my screen and logged the call in its History was August 31.  That's approaching 4 months ago.

    We've sent an account refresh. At your convenience, please unplug the power to the receiver for 2 minutes. Allow the reset to finish, then check to see if the TV Caller ID banner appears while watching TV and receiving a call.

    Please share your findings if the banner appears or not.

    The TV Caller ID feature should be functioning on the Rovi IPG with the required subscription. With a Scientific Atlanta S/A receiver, the TV Caller ID settings are not available among the menu. You may use the link below to select your receiver type, and find ways to turn it off/on, change banner duration. If you need further assistance, please contact Cox.     The Caller ID on TV has worked until this August and after your telephone service upgrade, it stopped.  I do have its settings page on channel 995.  I know how to enable, disable and set the banner duration.  It just stopped working.

    I'd like to try and fix this for you. I'll need to reset the cable box in the process. OK to do that now?

    It works again!  It displayed and logged into History.

    That wasn't the normal reboot or refresh, eh?  Did you reprovision me?

    A refresh will not normally reset the box while a reboot/reset will. I am glad to hear that everything is back up and running. Please let us know if you continue to experience issues with the service. We will be here to help.

    On 12/12 I got three new Contour boxes.  Is there any way to extend the duration of the Caller ID banner?  It displays only for a couple of seconds.  Thank you.

    The feature does not currently allow us to alter duration. We are hopeful it will be available with one of the updates offered by the manufacturer down the road. https://www.cox.com/residential/support/using-tv-caller-id-for-contour-2.html
