Cable modem keeps resetting

my cable modem keeps resetting at peak times. Does this multiple times at night. Very frustrating. Yeah I stream TV and dont use cable TV. 

Modem is a Motorola Surfboard from a decade ago. Is it on its way out?

Or does other have a similar issue. It does a full reset. ITs take a couple of minutes. But it is very annoying to say the least.

Ive called tech support on several occasions and they say they dont see any problem on their end.

Please assist

    I looked from here and the older DOCSIS 2.0 modem you're using is definitely inadequate for the level of service you're subscribed to. I'd suggest upgrading to a newer DOCSIS 3.0 modem for starters. If you're wireless router also doesn't have gigabit Ethernet capability that could be a sign that an upgrade there may help also.
