Blocked sender file

Are there commands at the end of the blocked sender file?  I believe I may have accidentally deleted a line at the end of the file.

  • Willbeau,

So that moderators or other forums users can be of assistance, please provide more information on the file you are referencing. How are you accessing your email? Where is this file from?

  • Willbeau,

If you're accessing your Advanced Blocking Features via the settings button in Classic Webmail, the only things that can be deleted are the list of Blocked Senders and Domains, or the Exception List.

I access from settings:  allow and block messages

I have a list of senders I want blocked < than 30. My question is are there any commands at the end of the file?

I'm not sure what commands you'd be referring to. It's basically a text list of senders you'd wish to allow or block.

How does the file know whether to allow or block if there are no commands

When you go to the page to manage Allow/Block senders there's a box to enter your list of blocked senders and a separate box to enter your exceptions.

For starters, check the basics and make sure the 2nd bubble (Activate advanced blocking features) is the one that is checked on that screen. Also, if you're trying to use this to block spam it likely won't work as how spammmers typically forge the "from" email addresses specifically to get around efforts to use this feature to stop them.
