Blocked outbound email / VPN

If our site doesn't recognize your Internet connection you may need to verify your identity in order to access your account or use email. Try signing into your http://www.cox.com account while connected to the VPN and see if you're prompted to verify your identity. If you successfully complete this process your connection should be whitelisted for 60 days.

No luck. I can get into my account with the VPN active but I was not prompted to verify my identify. It already knew who I was.

What you've described is how it should work if you're on an unrecognized Internet connection.

Having the same problem.  Until recently, I was able to send email from three different cox accounts with VPN connected.   Now must disconnect from VPN to send email.  

With VPN connected, I signed in and verified identity as suggested by Chris the Cox Support Forums Moderator.  Was still unable to send an email until the VPN was disconnected.  Regardless of what the Cox representatives say, they have changed something in the past two weeks.   

Having this problem also.  Have done what was suggested by the Cox folks, no joy.  Called tech support today they say it is the VPN's fault.  I have also noticed a lot of comments about Cox installing a new email client and folks having issues.  I would be willing to bet this is Cox's fault.  Everybody list your VPN lets see if they are all the same (I bet they aren't)
