Backspace Key unusable when using Webmail Beta

Anyone know why the backspace key is unusable when using Webmail Beta?  I have tried this on several different machines with the same issue. I can toggle to other applications and the backspace key works fine.  Just not in Webmail.  Any suggestions?

    Are you using chrome?

    Also, what is webmail beta? you mean enhanced webmail?
