Authentication Failed

I upgraded my cell phone today and, for most of the day, have been trying to configure the email settings. But I keep getting an error message saying, "Authentication Failed." I have chatted with THREE Cox support people this afternoon alone, and none of them was able to help me. The last one gave me a telephone number to call (1-877-891-2899), but it is perpetually busy. Is there anybody out there who knows why this is happening and how to fix it? Thanks very much!

    Please try deleting the email address from your phone completely. Then make sure that you're able to log into the Cox website with the correct username and password. Once that's done, please re-add the email address to your phone and let the phone automatically choose the settings. Please reach back out here if you continue to have trouble.
