Arris TG2472G: Assign Static LAN IP

Anyone have any guidance on how to set a static IP for LAN clients?

Trying to navigate the web interface for the Arris router is a complete failure to begin with... trying to poke around to locate correct configuration pages is unsuccessful, as i always seem to get hung up with:  "Your unit is updating, please wait for a moment"

If you know how to better use the interface to get around that waiting issue, i'd be appreciative of that also!

I would recommend getting a real router.  Let the modem just be a modem.

Can you include some screenshots? The manual for the TG2472G is horrible so would be helpful to see what you are seeing.

Also, are you trying to set up a static routes or DHCP reservations. I don't think the device allows for DHCP reservation as per this Comcast forum. Gateways are designed to be plug and play, so alot of the features inside are turned off so Cox doesn't have to support them. If you are looking to design your own network, I would suggest getting a stand alone modem and router.
