What does it mean when a site I normally use gives me this and what can I do to access the site?  Do you, Cox, block sites?

502 problems are usually caused by routing problems by the provider of the website.  See here for more info. Try tracert to the website and that will tell you where it's breaking. You can also check if a website is down for everyone or just you/Cox check here.
