The yellow cord is not supposed to be plugged directly into the wall. Assuming the yellow cord looks like a thick telephone cord, it is actually an Ethernet cable.

@brittanykoen81 the yellow cord fits into the back of your modem/gateway and then into your computer/laptop.  😉
