Tulsa intermittent internet connection? 5 days now
I have been getting internet issues oddly never had an issue before with it like at all. Suddenly my internet drop while working, restarted my modem it worked for 20mins and same thing. First thing that popped in my head check cox outages on their site. No know outage in my area (North Tulsa just by admiral). So went out my way got it new modem cause mine was old like 5 years old. Same thing no internet, great!! at this point got fed up and called tech support did troubleshooting process no help there called a tech out tech came Saturday morning. Said it’s all good on my end and all good at the pole the issue is COX! Funny right? No outage in my area…. So now I’m at internet comes and goes when it wants to if this gets to 20 days I’m whole heartedly taking a day on the phone with customer service for a discount. Cause I am getting 1/8 of full service. Is anyone else going through this?Cartech9188 hours agoVisitor II122Views1like7Commentsterrible internet service
Speed tests today are oscillating between 2GBps and 80GBps. I live in Orange county Californaia. Anybody else notice this?duhmel12316 hours agoNew Contributor III45Views0likes1CommentVoice Tools Settings Issues
The Voice Mail toggle is changed to OFF. After a lengthy processing delay, attempts to turn it ON fail with the following Voice Tools error message: "Your Voice Mail request cannot be completed. Please try again". Clicking Spam Blocker and changing all Spam Risks to something other than "Send to Voicemail" will allow the Voice Mail toggle to be changed to ON. However, after collapsing and expanding Settings again, the Voice Mail toggle is changed back to OFF, and the Spam Blocker settings are back to values from before they were changed. Voice Tools Settings do not save. The only noticeable difference in the Voice Tools page is a new "Blocked" tab in Call History. I have no idea if it does anything because clicking it displays "0 matching results found". It took months for Call History issues to be mostly fixed. Why did Cox change something else just to break it too? With the sale of Cox, these issues may never be fixed. Voice mail may never work again.CurtB2 days agoHonored Contributor72Views0likes6CommentsYOUTUBE

I have 21 devices connected to my Panomara Wifi from Sonos speakers, to printers and washer /dryers. Interstingly, my Samsung TV does not show up on the list by my LG TV does and the latter has a weak signal. It is definitely slow and there is lag. Have the 500mps plan. How can I manage what is on and off. Do folks use the app and pause items (app is shaky at best). What are others using for this number of devices? It seems to be a big problems with cox. I was told my data was over significantly, but the agent couldn’t give me the actual amount. Convince me that I should upgrade to unlimited data. There two adults in the house both work all day, no video games etc. It doesn’t add up. I still upgraded to the unlimited service for $50 more, only to be charged additional 40 for the difference within the billing period. I was basically made to spend $90 extra for data below my initial plan. I’m very disappointed! I can only imagine how they they take advantage of people who don’t check their bills or have options to change services.svivas092 days agoNew Contributor52Views0likes1Comment- coxsuxcox2 days agoNew Contributor26Views0likes1Comment
Planned Outages
Greetings, In a classic Dilbert, the PHB requests that in the future, he be notified in advance of all unplanned outages. Perhaps Cox can also do us a solid. A few days ago there was an outage in my area. The Cox app reflected this status when I opened it to figure out why I'd lost connectivity. I signed up for SMS alerts which did keep me updated. There did not seem to be any advance notice or planning of this outage. Tonight I lost connectivity (ZIP 85281) and the Cox app informs me that maintenance was planned from now (12:30am-5:54am). This is an outage lasting over five hours while I am wide awake. This is a long, long time for a weekday's worth of planned outages after the unplanned one. So I've signed up for SMS alerts again. Where is the signup, or the web page which tracks, the planning of outages, so that when Cox lays out plans, their customers can be advised to prepare for these things ahead of time? Thank youAnesti332 days agoContributor30Views0likes1Comment- alosacollentine3 days agoNew Contributor22Views0likes1Comment
Not just Cox Mobile but service from Cox in general
Let me start, I have been a loyal Cox customer for over 10 years. I have rarely had a complaint until the last few months. It started when we had to move due to renovations at our apartment in March. I called Cox and arranged a moving date. I was told that our new apartment was Cox ready. The day of the move came and the technicians came to move us over to the new apartment. First, the techs seemed unsure of what they were supposed to do. They said everything was set up and left It was about a month later, we finally started getting into a routine. I went to use the Home life app and I couldn't log in. Another technician came who had to call someone else. We were never set up with Homelife. Three hours late and being charged for a service that was never set up and we got Homelife and a $75 charge to install the service. That finally got resolved Next issue: I got an email from Cox that my address was wrong on my Cox Mobile bill. I was going to lose service. Why wasn't this charged in March? It is now May. My roommate had health issues and one phone wasn't cutting it. We called to get a new line and phone. The woman said that she could get me a Samsung phone for free due to a promotion anda $21. Shipping fee. When the email came it wasn't a Samsung but a cheaper phone. After 3 hours, we finally got a Moto G like mine and a $32 shipping fee - note the price change and 2 day wait to get a refund. I used to say that I love Cox due to the great customer service. Coworkers would tell me horror stories but I thought they were pulling my leg. Lately, we have Google fiber and Verizon trying to get my business. I am starting to consider whether I should be looking at them especially in light of Cox being taken over by Spectrum which has a worse reputation for customer service than Cox. Being charged fir a service that was never installed in our new apartment and all the other issues is frustrating. I am putting this down so maybe Cox can get their customer service straightened out before they lose more customers.suja3 days agoNew Contributor39Views0likes1Comment
