Insane bill increase!
So I had a 12 month plan when I first signed up for internet at $60 per month. After that it went up to $90. Ok whatever. NOW randomly it jumped up to over $180 dollars! I can’t afford that! So then I’m told my non contract amount of $90 also had a discount on it…..that I’ve never seen in a bill, suddenly is gone. What discount!? Now my only offered options is an increased price to sign a 12 month contract…..are you people tone deaf? Or sign up for 60 MONTHS?? WHO affords this? I’d never sign up to be stuck with a company this awful. Seriously you’re price gouging. Looks like at this point another service provider is the way to go. As I see many people doing.56Views0likes2CommentsUnplanned Internet Outages
These internet outages are out of control. I pay about $5.15/day or $0.21/hr for CONTINUOUS internet service. I should be credited for every hour that service is interrupted. This would be an actual fair transaction and help me pay for all the extra cellular data I have to use to continue to work from home during the 5+ disruptions per month. I don’t want to hear that you understand my frustration or that I should reach out for assistance. What I want is a solution to the problem and a credit on my bill.13Views0likes1CommentCurrent available equipment
Good afternoon. I have a question regarding some equipment that I need to clarify. So right now we are in the process of getting rid of the combined internet and WiFi router. Now my question is if I still have my panoramic WiFi modem, can I request to have cox issue me a separate modem for the phone service or would it have to be combined into one? We have a security system that is phone line monitored and we want to have the phone modem downstairs and the WiFi modem upstairs. Do you know if theirs a way to do that? the next question I have is regarding to cable boxes. I never really understood the difference between cox tv and the contour tv. Is it the same thing or are they different. And what are the current hardwired cable boxes cox has?Solvedzachfindley624013 hours agoNew Contributor41Views0likes8Comments1 month free!....

Several days in the last two weeks I have been met with a we seem to have a problem message with a prompt to restart. This is first thing in the morning and after it reboots it is fine for the rest of the day. I do have an older-maybe 10 yo- DVR. I’m thinking it’s time to upgrade but would welcome any suggestions.donna_p16 hours agoNew Contributor16Views0likes1CommentConstantly freezing!😡
Why, why, WHY do programs I'm watching on Cox constantly freeze while watching? It's annoying!!! The picture will freeze and then by the time it unfreezes, it has jumped ahead in the program. Why? I let a customer service rep talk me into getting the new cable box and it has been like this every since! The only thing that is constantly is my increased bill! I see why people cut the cord. After 23 years with Cox's shabby service, I think I'm DONE!SerenaReid18 hours agoVisitor II21Views0likes1Comment- smg97552 days agoNew Contributor59Views0likes2Comments
Increased Upload Speed
I live in the Hampton Roads VA area and have had the basic Go Fast plan for some time with 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds. Just today, I ran a speed test and was surprised to find that my upload speed has been increased to 20 mbps. Is this an aberration, or can someone confirm that Cox in the Hampton Roads area has increased the upload speed from 10 Mbps to 20 Mbps on the Go Fast plan Edit: Thank you all for your comments. I did sign in to my account and I am still on the Go Fast plan. However, It does indicate that my provisioned upload speed on that plan is now 20 mbps vs 10 mbps. We do have a new fiber provider that has moved into the area, so perhaps the competition has motivated Cox to “up their game”.Solved73bludevil3 days agoNew Contributor94Views0likes3Comments
