NOMOROBO STOPS UNWANTED ILLEGAL ROBO CALLS - WHY DOES COX NOT OFFER THIS FEATURE?
Cox Communications does not listen to its customers I have been one over for over 25 years and they will not listen to me or anyone on this issue. I suspect once they see this thread they will immediately lock it so that the thousands of customers who have a problem with robo calls (for which cox offers ancient non working solutions) cannot comment. Cox claims they cannot offer "Simultaneous Ring" which they can but simply refuse to do, if they tell you anything to the contrary its complete fiction. Every other voip company has it and all of them also offer nomorobo so that the calls we get from India etc. are blocked. Cox will say "sign up for the national do not call list". That will not work for you because the calls are from outside the USA. Cox knows this but does not care they just spew garbage at us. Cox will also say they have selective call blocking (they charge for this feature) and you can block up to 30 numbers or some nonsense. That also will not work even if you could block unlimited numbers you would get the same amount of robo calls always from a different number so here we can establish that cox is not consumer focused they are revinue focused they want to sell us a feature that does not even work. COX Corporate customer service was not helpful either they spew the same garbage at us. Now COX, do what you do best and lock this thread. Hide your heads in the sand like ostriches. Hide under your desks and pretend this is all going to just go away...28KViews0likes17CommentsWhy no defense against spam calls, and robocalls??
I have a Cox account that includes both internet, and phone service, but I am slammed by constant, endless spam phone calls despite being on the "Do Not Call" list, and I am sick of answering the phone 20 times a day to find out that it is another robot, recorded message calling me. I would love to be able to defend against this with the NoMoRobo software, but Cox does not support it.... This is frustrating because Cox Cable has repeatedly raised my monthly rates for service, and they seem to be completely detached from the real world as far as features go. PLEASE Cox, join the rest of the world in the 21st century, and stop blocking EVERYTHING except spam!!17KViews0likes17CommentsCaller ID City, ST-no one there. Multiple calls a day
We receive 5-15 calls a day where the caller ID is a city and state only, and sometimes just The Hartford (up to three times a day). No one is ever there or leaves a message. I have tried to answer to find out who they are, but no answer, just empty air. I ignore them, but it is a time waster and interrupter and leaves us scrambling when it is a wanted caller. Most calls are daytime/evening. They come from all over the country, NV, CA, FL, SD and most common is CT where we are located. Is this a condition of internet phone, spamming, robo calls? Is there anyway to combat it or report it?8.2KViews0likes2CommentsUnwanted calls, robo calls, etc
I have been reading many comments from people who are co thmplaining about unwanted calls and how to stop them. Many people are registered with the DNS (myself included) and this is not working for anyone. There is a really easy solution which I am surprised nobody has even mentioned. My phone announces whomever is calling by voice, caller ID, etc. If it is someone I know I can answer it. If it is someone that I do not recognize but when they start to leave a message and I do want to talk to this person then again I answer it. In this way I am not talking to sales persons or scammers. END OF THE PROBLEM. A very easy solution to a never ending problem. I always have said that if someone wants to talk to me they will leave me a message and if not then just hang up like to many of these callers always do anyway. So it is not taking up my time answering calls that I do not want.6.9KViews0likes4CommentsNomorobo, simultaneous ring feature
Please add this service for residential customers. I understand it is available for business customers. I have read that Telecom companies such as Cox earn revenue from the robo-callers. Is this true? Is that why you won't help consumers put a stop to robocalling? The only way to get it stopped is if it becomes too expensive for the perpetrators to continue. Please help!!!4.7KViews0likes1CommentNomorobo
Is Cox going to offer the Nomorobo or similar service before AT&T? I personally would be willing to pay the $5 extra every month to get the service. Card Member Services and political calls are wearing me thin. Nomorobo is offered by AT&T U-verse right now for their telephone service. They do not offer it for their regular land lines. If their internet was close to Cox's I'd switch to them right now just to rid myself of robocalls and telemarketers. My number is listed on the donotcall registry and has been so for over a year. I have contacted the FCC numerous times about "card member services" They get 2.2 million complaints about them every year. Contacting the FCC does not and will never work. Please tell me that it is actively being considered because it would absolutely be a way to hold and not lose residential customers. Thank you.4.6KViews0likes3CommentsNomorobo - the solution for us
Check my profile for details. The inability to use Nomorobo was a key decision point which led us to Vonage instead of Cox, when we abandoned Verizon land-line service. Yes, from time to time we have to report a new robo-phone-number to Nomorobo, but that's no trouble compared to the increasing number of robocalls per day prior to the changeover. PS i don't work for Nomorobo, but I am very happy with the results!4.3KViews0likes1Comment
