TV and Internet Not Working
Hello. My dvr box seems to be not working. The display shows "1120." It isn't the clock, it's the way channel numbers are shown. However, the remote won't change anything. The light on the remote comes on, but nothing happens. The tv says there's no connection. This has been happening since last night. This morning, the internet stopped working as well. I called tech support, but they weren't able to fix it, and after about 45 minutes, I had to get to work. Does anyone have an idea of what could be happening? I've had Cox cable and internet now for a little over a month and am COMPLETELY unhappy with the service I am receiving and paying for. The internet is perfect and fast, but the cable is an entirely different story. Almost every single hour, exactly 60 minutes, the cable is completely unwatchable. The picture will just freeze over and over, or continue to loop the same 10-15 seconds of a show, or just black out all together. I'll get online, order a signal reset and wait for it to boot back up, then 1 hour later it is doing the EXACT same thing. I have called Cox, spoke with technical support, followed all instructions to the T. I even went as far as removing the cable splitter and replacing all cables. I agreed to a 2 year contract with you Cox, but I will NOT continue to pay for such sub par service, no matter what. I have emailed Cox multiple times, called them multiple times, yet still no resolution. This is hands down some of the worst customer service I have ever seen before. If someone is paying $100 a month for services, they better be getting their money's worth! It has gotten to the point where I would much rather watch Netflix or rent a redbox as opposed to watching this ridiculous excuse for television. Problem 1: On Sunday, there was a message that channel 1052 had changed from AMCHD (Eastern feed) to AMCPHD (Pacific feed). My Tivo updated the schedule based on this, but the times the shows were actually on were still the Eastern ones. Problem 2: Problem 1 may be fixed, but I don't know. Starting Tuesday, 1052 has been black with the Tivo message, "Searching for a signal on this channel (V52)." Tried 52 (the non-HD channel). It was blank, too. Resetting the Tivo had no effect. I have TV Essential package, yesterday we could go to station 72.1, which was the TV Guide station. Today it nothing but a blank screen. We do not have the cable box. Have called in and was told to do the auto reset for stations, this did not help. Any idea where we can now find the TV Guide channel? Thanks Dave H4.4KViews0likes4Comments
