I've worked in IT since 1973 and it's been my experience that when things constantly break they're not being fixed. Re: Internet issues in Cranston RI Not so fast, please. Problems again today. Cox app confirms "We've identified a network-impacting event affecting the consistent delivery of service to your home. We know this can be frustrating...." Yes, it's very frustrating. I can't get my work done. Re: Internet issues in Cranston RI Cox fixed the problem and things were OK for a day and then there was a second problem which they fixed (again). It seems more stable now so I'll cut them some slack unless it gets bad again. If I was just a casual Internet user it might not be a big deal but working from home and constantly losing VPN is not good. Internet issues in Cranston RI Over the past few days we've been having outage and packet-loss issues in Cranston RI. The Cox app confirms that there are issues and the issue is being corrected. Working from home, it's a pain having my VPN connection drop every 5 minutes. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come; our Internet service has been good over the years but lately not so much. What if you already have a Yahoo e-mail address? I already have a Yahoo e-mail address (which I admittedly don't use). When Cox transitions to Yahoo mail, will I need to create another account with my Cox e-mail address? SolvedWebmail SPAM seems to no longer offer just marking mail as SPAM. Because of an issue I was having with my Cox e-mail yesterday I logged into Webmail (which I really never use) and noticed that my Spam folder was full of messages, most of them not spam. In the past you used to be able to indicate that you just wanted suspected spam to be marked as spam but not tucked away in a spam folder. Is this option still available? I can't find it. Rob Re: Robocalls I never heard of a call blocker but just found call-blocking phones on amazon.com. Time to check these out. Tonight I got a robocall at 8:15. It's getting out of hand. Re: Robocalls I just noticed that myself. The last call I got with a V verification was on 10/17. Nothing since then and I actually do get a valid phone call once in a while😀. Re: Robocalls The calls aren't anonymous in the strict sense of the word. There's either a fake, unverified caller-ID name or a geographic location (e.g., "PROVIDENCE RI"). As they used to say in the TV commercials, "We can land a man on the moon but..." I can't believe there's no technology solution to this. Robocalls Over the last few days I have been inundated with "You've overpaid your utility bills so press 1 if you're a sucker" robocalls. I report every one of them to Nomorobo. All the calls come in with unverified (naturally) caller-IDs. Is there some technical reason that Cox can't implement an option that blocks all calls with an unverified caller-ID? This is beyond annoying.
