ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsCredits for outage and modem I called yesterday and talked to Billing on getting a credit for the massive outage Cox had hast week that affected NV, AZ and CA. It was all day out for most of your services like internet, tv, phones etc. Calling a Cox store here they told me they were out also. They said we would get about a $7.00 credit. I then asked to transfer to internet support and requested a credit for have to buy a new modem after the outage was fixed. Whatever caused your outage blew our modem up. We could not get it going and even testing on your end showed it was not working. That modem was only a few years old, never gave us one issue but suddenly died because of this outage. You’ve had other outages and it always came back immediately. We had to purchase a new one and was not ready for that expense but needed the Internet and the cheapest modem that met your specs was $200.00 We wanted a substantial credit for that modem seeing after seeing posts on people having their modems blow immediately after your outage. It’s not right that a failure equipment on your end that apparently went through your lines to our modem to damage it mean we should shoulder the total cost of a new modem. Patrick in Internet support told me will would show up today in our billing but checking today I see NO credits for either outage or modem. Re: High data usage Last several months we are exceeding our data limit even though our viewing habits hadn’t changed from months prior to the overage months. But now suddenly each month since around Dec. we are exceeding. Re: Channel 19 cutting in and out Check my prior messages over last 6 mos and you’ll see what I mean. Re: Channel 19 cutting in and out It happens on all TVs. Before audio would drop earlier today but now picture freezes when audio drops. It’s only on channel 19 as far we can see. It happened before several times and Cox found their problem. They to,d me it was a third party issue whatever that means. Its NOT our issue. It’s Cox. We’ve been here before several times in that last 6 mos. Channel 19 cutting in and out This morning in Vegas we are seeing channel 19 audio cutting in and out. This is the third time in as many months this has been happening. It usually affects only this channel as channels on either side of 19 don’t appear to have this problem. Its not as consistent as it was the other times but it could be signaling the start of worse to come. Before sound and picture would cycle off and on. So far it’s just sound but happens every few minutes. Seems to be a consistent issue the last few months with you guys. Re: Programming cutting in and out Are any reps monitoring this forum? A response would be nice showing you saw there’s a problem. Programming cutting in and out Today in Las Vegas starting around 2 pm Channel 19 is cutting in and out every minute or so both picture and sound, We had this happen a few months back and Cox found an issue on their end and fix it. I think they need to fix it yet again. Its irradiating to be watching and every minute or two picture and sound goes away for a few seconds. Email issue This evening emails are not coming in or sending in Las Vegas. Just started happening. Happens on both PC and IPad on several computers here. Re: Experiencing audio cut-out on MSNBC, picture is fine but lose the audio several times per minute for 3-5 seconds each time, makes watching shows very unpleasant, anyone else? We’ve actually had a full day yesterday of no issues. Hope everyone else is back up and ok. We’ll see how long it lasts. Maybe they think MSNBC viewers will flip over to Fox. For us it’s a BIG HELL NO. Re: Experiencing audio cut-out on MSNBC, picture is fine but lose the audio several times per minute for 3-5 seconds each time, makes watching shows very unpleasant, anyone else? I reported this earlier today. Have the exact issue on our channel 19 which is MSNBC. This problem happened a month or so ago also. Obviously Cox has issues with MSNBC, Conspiracy? LOL Now 12:19 pm PST it seems fixed. No cutting in and out...so far.
